Mediaeval  Old Pals Town

Las Piņas is our holiday home on the Costa Brava, a region known for its rugged pine-clad coastline, secluded fishing villages and long beaches.   It is in Playa de Pals  (Beach of Pals) at a point where the rocky coast abruptly changes to a 4-mile stretch of sandy beach. We think it is the most attractive part of the Costa Brava and very different from the high-rise popular resorts.
The long, wide beach at Playa de Pals with its restaurants is an easy 8 minutes walk from the house.   Cliff paths, sandy coves, the intimate beach at El Raco and the fishing village of Sa Riera are all within a pleasant 30-minute walk.

The nearest small towns are at Pals, a mediaeval village which has been beautifully restored, Begur, Torroella de Montgri and Palafrugell. Historic Girona, the vibrant city of Barcelona and the Pyrenees are all easily accessible.
